TAK TROCHU JINÉ PŘÍBĚHY (KIND OF DIFFERENT STORIES)

A few years ago I discovered my photographic passion for faces telling a story. Faces wrinkled, with amazing texture, people mysterious and charismatic and faces of the homeless. I collect portraits in the streets of Prague, where I prefer natural light. I am a self-taught photographer. My profession is a jazz musician. Playing in jazz bands and jazz music in general is definitely something amazing, as is street portraiture. Both have raw foundations, are rough as gravel, unrestricted by anything, but sophisticated at the same time – and all of this evokes intense emotions. My paintings are not just simple portraits, but testimonies to human loneliness, passion and suffering in this harsh modern age.

The human face is probably one of the most interesting phenomena.

I get my feedback mostly on the photo portals Flickr, Viewbug and Pinterest, where there are also photo contests where I have won first and second prizes. The prize for the portrait “Mr B/W”, which won the Expressive Faces Photo contest on the American portal Viewbug .com, was a Nikon camera. On the domestic scene, I am happy that about 120 large-scale portraits were sold at exhibitions held at the Lucerna cinema, Kamzík Gallery, Akropolis Palace, Estates Theatre, Rock Café and cafés.

You can get to know my work better on the website or on Flickr.
