In his paintings, Vojta Fábry thematises a certain incomplete extra-agency and apathy of the environment towards the character and the character towards the environment. The characters live in this place with no claim to the future, no thoughts of the past and no desire for change. They accept their situation as it is. In a way, they wander, but they don’t try to find anything definite – is it possible to say that they are lost? Quite possibly they don’t know what they want to find because they have rather forgotten what they miss. The environment accepts their existence but does not demand it. Each character has a designated place in the landscape, so they are taken into account, but they do not react in any way. Will the protagonists ever wake up and find out where they are? Will they ever encounter what they are looking for? And when they find it, will they recognize that this is it, or will they pass by and wander on?

Vojtěch Fábry (*2007) artist, curator, founder of Podchod Gallery. By the way, already at the age of thirteen, he was one of the illustrators of the legendary zine Kids and Heroes, which was christened at the Rock Cafe. And now he will present his first solo exhibition here.

The opening of the exhibition will take place on 6 March at 7:00 p.m., and in addition to an introduction by the artist, you can also look forward to a concert by the band ZiMa.
