The oldest club in Prague. Music. Theater. Café
Is it possible to capture the atmosphere of the concerts in photographs? The exhibition Dazed & Dreaming answers this question and transports you to the world of music. The hazy concert halls, the energy and emotions of the musicians, the dim light in contrast with the strong colour palette of the concert lights working with a longer camera shutter give Anna’s photos a distinctive style. If her photos had a genre, they would teeter between psychedelia, shoegaze and stoner rock.
Anna Baštýřová has been a photographer since 2014. She has not studied photography, much preferring to self-taughtly explore the various mysterious nooks and crannies of photography. She is not a fan of realistic photography, preferring dreamy, “blurry” and surreal photos in which she introduces the viewer to her view of the world. His favourite place to photograph is concerts, usually in small clubs with poor lighting. The lack of light (and therefore the need for a long shutter speed) also led her to develop the method that was used to create all the photographs in this exhibition. Last but not least, she enjoys creating her own multi-coloured filters. She is currently shooting for the music magazine Full Moon.
The opening will take place on Tuesday, May 16th at 8:00 pm and will start with a musical surprise.
