The oldest club in Prague. Music. Theater. Café
In the installation My Lips Lack Tenderness, the primary medium is photography, which the artist herself perceives more as a study, an intermediate stage between text and video. In a space unlimited by time, it captures the decomposition of personality. This may not be self-destructive in principle; thanks to the disintegration of the self into its primitive elements, she is able to look into the roots of her own existence. It depicts a solitary body on the border between animal and human. She is driven by the desire to undress from her body and become a non-matter in a vacuum with no time in which to find balance.
Beata Kotrášová is a student of the Studio of Free Art IV under the guidance of Aleksandra Vajd and Martins Kohout at the Academy of Arts and Crafts in Prague. Her work focuses on film, poetry and performance, through which she tells stories from the dream environment. He creates a play on the edge of sadness and self-irony.
