Canadian psych-pop singer-songwriter Tess Parks boldly signed to his 359 Music label in early 2010, one of the first to be signed by Alan McGee. Her smoky voice and melodic, lo-fi sound seemed perfect for the label’s aesthetic, and her 2013 debut Blood Hot earned her international acclaim. Though her solo follow-up was slow in coming, Parks soon found an even wider audience through her musical partnership with Brian Jonestown Massacre’s Anton Newcombe, with whom she recorded two award-winning duets in the latter half of the decade. In 2022, nine years after the release of her debut, Parks returned with her second album And Those Who Were Seen Dancing on the Fuzz Club label.
