The American duo with their indie dance music is heading to Prague! Neil Frances will perform on August 12th at Rock Café.
NEIL FRANCES is a Los Angeles duo consisting of Jordan Feller and Marc Gilfry. They first collaborated back in 2016 when they first combined their talents to write for other vocalists as a producer duo, an initially unsuccessful venture that resulted in several demos living on their soundcloud account. In 2018, after their demos were discovered on Soundcloud by tastemakers like KCRW and triple j, NEIL FRANCES happily became a standalone entity that has rightfully earned their place in the music scene. Their work has been praised by renowned music media such as NME, Rolling Stone, BBC6 and Grammy.com.
Their music is a clear statement of why Gilfry and Feller got together. Feller – an old school hip-hopper and former rave boy, has a gift for chanting retro beats, while singer and guitarist Gilfry can write catchy melodies and hooks on command. The result is genre-spanning music that consists of club grooves with sonic influences ranging from 80s and 90s rave culture, 70s funk and soul, yacht rock and classic hip hop. You’ll hear both samples and tape-driven indie guitars in NEIL FRANCES tracks.
In addition to their fan base, the duo is also enjoying success among their musical colleagues. During their career, they have already played with the British Jungle or the American electronic duo Odesza. In addition, they’ve performed at the Lollapalooza festival in the United States, Mexico’s Corona Capital, and are heading to Coachella this year.
