Canadian singer-songwriter Jonathan Roy traded his hockey career for the concert stage and is gradually conquering the world with music that is sincere, powerful, and full of emotion. He will present his new album, Symphony of Doubts, at Prague’s Rock Café on February 6, 2026.

He has been writing poetry since he was thirteen, but at seventeen he set out on a career as a professional hockey player, guided by his father, legendary NHL goalie Patrick Roy (Colorado Avalanche, Montreal Canadiens). However, music ultimately prevailed, and he released his debut album in 2009. His real breakthrough came eight years later with the album Mr. Optimist Blues and the hit Beautiful Day.

His music truly comes to life during concerts. Jonathan can transform a concert hall into a sanctuary of storytelling and soul. In recent years, he has gained a global audience thanks to intimate live sessions that highlight the pure authenticity of the moment. No masks – just Jonathan, the band, and a simple message: strength lies not in perfection, but in the courage to be human.

Each of his songs is a journey into the inner self. Symphony of Doubts captures this journey – an album full of sincerity, soaring melodies, and vulnerability that is both raw and empowering. It is music about accepting doubts, searching for freedom, and finding love – for oneself and for others.
