They have been on the Czech music scene for over twenty years. During that time the band has undergone several changes. Since 2002 it has remained in its current line-up. POST-IT came into wider awareness in 2003 when, out of 864 bands entered, they were shortlisted among the last 5 bands of the first year of the Coca-Cola Pop Star search contest. Based on this success, the band signed with BMG and a year later released their debut album “IDEAL”.
CD “IDEÁL”, BMG/2004
With this debut, POST-IT will be touring extensively. Music videos were created for the singles Ideal and Post-it, which became part of the rotation in the media and television. Thanks to the success of the single Ideal, this piece becomes the central backdrop in a Gambrinus commercial, which also features POST-IT itself. The band’s successful campaign is now complete, with the band becoming part of the Gaudeamus Igitur tour across the country, where they have the opportunity to perform on big stages. He becomes a guest of the band DESMOD and goes on their tour in sports halls all over the country. In 2005, POST-IT is nominated for the ÓČKO award in the hard’n’heavy category.
CD “SECTOR 10”, SONY/BMG/2006
The band POST-IT signs a contract with SONY/BMG label and approaches producer Yarda Helesic, with whom they produce singles for the songs “Addiction” and “Gigolo”. Both singles became part of the rotation in media and television. The band POST-IT presents the CD Sector 10 in concert in the company of David Koller and Support Lesbiens around sports halls. The band subsequently becomes part of major festivals. The single “Addiction” becomes the winner of several hit parades on radio Kiss, CT Pomeranč and TV Óčko.
MP3 “POST-I-NOOR”/ 2009
The band POST-IT decided to release an album on their own and approached producer Boris Carloff and David Koller. Fans of the band were offered the opportunity to download the album for free. For the singles “Wherever You Go” and “When the Shot Is Fired”, clips were created with the then new technology of the acclaimed director David Chvátal, namely a combination of animation and live acting. The band embarks on a joint tour for the album Post-i-noor with the band CLOU.
In 2012 POST-IT discontinued its activity. Subsequently, Czenda became the lead singer of Support Lesbiens, where he worked for 5 years.
In 2017, POST-IT held a concert at Prague’s Akropolis Palace, kicking off their comeback.
In 2018, the band released a single and music video titled “Alone Again”, participated in several festivals, and will end the year with a celebration titled “20 AT THE TACHACHACHI” in Prague’s Akropolis Palace. The plan is to release several new singles and videos and return to the big stages. And they’re back on form.
