INTIMSPRAY – high-energy punky-ska-pogo craziness, with great visuals and theatrical elements. Intimspray was “big” in Austria and Bavaria in the early 1980s. They were even featured in teenage Pop magazine BRAVO. The singer Heinz D. Heisl is a legendary figure on the Vienna cultural scene and started his musical career in 1968. Intimspray split up in 1984 and afterwards Heinz followed a distinguished literary career, publishing poetry and later co-founding the annual Sprachsalz Literary Festival in Hall in Tirol. He has also lived at the Chelsea Hotel in NYC and was involved in the San Francisco literary scene. Heinz recently reformed Intimspray with some younger members and released the album “Religion” in 2021. In February this year they released a new studio LP – “Die Butter” – and they will be playing some songs from it at Rock Café. Be prepared for surprises!
