Ravens return to Prague with new single “Guillotine”!
This powerful and topical story reflects the psychological burden of our times. The song focuses on the pressure of societal expectations we face every day. We live in a world where we are constantly connected to others – whether friends, acquaintances, or complete strangers. This constant attention and the need to be perfect and accepted can create the feeling that the world is just waiting for us to make a mistake.
“Guillotine” is a reminder that it is not easy to find peace under this relentless scrutiny. As the text itself says, “We live under the guillotine.”
Come and listen to the new single and experience an evening of musical energy!

THE RAVEN AGE from the UK is based on the foundations of hard rock, heavy metal and metalcore. Co-founded by George Harris (son of Iron Maiden bassist Steve Harris), the band’s name is inspired by the mythology surrounding the ravens that reside in the Tower of London; legend has it that if the ravens leave, the tower and the monarchy will fall.

THE RAVEN AGE play catchy heavy rock, but incorporate the sound of British heavy metal (NWoBHM) and modern influences, resulting in catchy, accessible guitar melodies and vocals that are complemented by dynamic rhythms. A fresh intersection of modernized traditions that looks to the future while honoring the golden age.

They have performed internationally in over 400 shows in 38 countries including major festival appearances such as main stage at the festivals Download, Rock in Rio, Wacken, Hellfest and many more, as well as touring with the likes of Killswitch Engage, Volbeat, Shinedown and Alter Bridge. And of course Iron Maiden.

Their debut album “Darkness Will Rise” (2017) updated the aesthetic of the new wave of British heavy metal from the late 70s and early 80s into a modern sound and musical sophistication. The follow-up album “Conspiracy” (2019) was more progressive, harder hitting, and made use of chamber strings and atmosphere. The following album “Exile” (2021) lightened the sound considerably. The sound comes from cleverly layered acoustic guitars and vocals, the mood is more intimate, almost melancholic, and the potential is distinctly hit and miss. The new album “Blood Omen” (2023) was released on July 7 and once again offers a strong, focused and ambitious work full of explosive heavy rock/metal!

Support on the tour are DISCONNECTED – modern day rockers who draw influences from bands like Gojira, Avenged Sevenfold and Alter Bridge.
