The American band Sanguisugabogg is synonymous with dirty, raw, and absolutely uncompromising slam death metal. They burst onto the world scene in 2019 like a bulldozer and within a few years went from being an underground phenomenon to one of the most sought-after bands in contemporary extreme metal – you can experience their brutal energy for yourself on February 24 at Prague’s Rock Café. The thoroughly rotten support will be provided by the Italians Fulci, the Americans Gates to Hell, and the British Celestial Sanctuary.
Sanguisugabogg’s debut album Tortured Whole kicked off the death metal scene with a brutal dose of old-school filth and slam, while the follow-up Homicidal Ecstasy only confirmed that these guys are no one-hit wonder, but a machine of constant pressure and extremity. Live, their show is absolutely devastating – heavy riffs, dense sound, and a mosh pit that will simply captivate you. Sanguisugabogg are quickly gaining the status of a band you simply must see if you love extreme music. Their concerts are a combination of brutal energy, dark humor, and total devotion to death metal. Get ready for an evening where there are no inhibitions – just raw, heavy-duty thrashing that will engulf you from the first note.
Support will be provided by Italian butchers Fulci, who pay homage to the legend of Italian horror film, director Lucio Fulci, with their brutal work. They will be joined by American band Gates To Hell with their unique mix of death metal, hardcore, and grindcore, and the lineup will be closed by British band Celestial Sanctuary.
