Exotic melodies, thrilling energy, and the power of a band that wasn’t afraid to speak out during the Tunisian revolution. Myrath will bring their unique blend of progressive metal and oriental motifs to Prague’s Rock Café on April 11—and their concert promises not only a musical experience, but also a touch of courage and hope.
Born halfway between France and Tunisia, Myrath has become one of the most distinctive forces in contemporary metal. Their work is defined by sharp riffs, cinematic orchestrations, and the hypnotic pulse of African, Indian, and European traditions – not a calculated fusion, but a natural expression of their multi-layered roots. The band prosaically called their genre “Blazing Desert Metal.”
The story of Myrath is one of perseverance. During the Tunisian revolution in 2011, the band wrote the album Tales of the Sands while protecting their homes by day and composing music by night – a defining moment that still permeates their work today. Since then, they have conquered stages around the world, from Hellfest to Japan, Europe, and America. In 2022, they made history by performing at the World Cup in Qatar, where they were heard by millions of people around the world.
Their latest album, Karma (2024), marked a rebirth – a bombastic, arena-ready record that cemented their reputation as innovators. Now the band is preparing for their most ambitious project yet – a new album planned for 2026.
Myrath are more than just a band – they are proof that music born out of struggle and the search for identity can transcend borders and generations.
