Californian cult band Masters of Reality is coming to the Czech Republic! Led by charismatic frontman Chris Goss, one of the key producers of the Californian desert rock scene, the band creates a sound world that is heavy, hypnotic and unexpectedly sophisticated. They’ve been presenting their unique blend of raw stoner rock, blues and psychedelia to the world since 1981, and have consistently shown their listeners that rock music can be simultaneously dark, intelligent and addictive.
Masters of Reality’s work oscillates between thick Black Sabbath-style riffs, mysterious melodies and blues influences that give the songs a novel groove and depth. As a producer, Chris Goss has worked with bands like Kyuss and Queens of the Stone Age, which only underscores his influence on the modern stoner rock scene. But Masters of Reality remain an original – a band that doesn’t play by the rules and still sounds timeless.
In 2024, Masters of Reality released their first single in 15 years, which they followed up with The Archer in March of this year, which they will present as part of their European tour. Their only Czech stop will be Prague’s Rock Cafe, where Masters of Reality will perform on Saturday, October 11.
