Canadian multi-instrumentalist Alex Henry Foster returns to the Czech Republic after three years! After years spent fronting the post-rock band Your Favorite Enemies, this musician, singer, producer and human rights activist from Montreal, Canada, has embarked on a solo career to explore the darker corners of the human psyche and his own soul. His debut album, Windows in the Sky, was written as a cathartic response to the death of his father and his introspective journey through the pain of loss, faith and hope.
Foster’s music transcends genres – combining post-rock, ambient, noise, jazz and experimental elements, with an emphasis on layered compositions and poetic lyrics, often presented through spoken word. In his work, raw emotionality meets artistic sophistication. It is not just about the music as such, but a personal statement that has the power to heal, inspire and disturb. His backing band, The Long Shadows, are an important part of the concert experience, which often turns into fascinating improvised rituals that connect audience and artist as one.
