If you want to relax with quality dance music from the 70s-90s, mostly accompanied by the ensemble’s own lyrics, you will really enjoy the energetic performance of Hrací Skříně Praha. The ten-piece band can handle all genres of this period, from the sharpened guitar of AC/DC to the keyboard and brass madness of Michael Jackson. They try to make the Czech-sung repertoire and it is always funny, cheerful and understandable to the listener and visitors of the show. The troupe includes a dancer, comedian, actor and singer in one person, who in many costumes spices up and lightens up the show.
Beware this is not art, but an entertainment.
The latest album released by Hrací skříň Praha in 2019 is called Recycled songs. This is the group’s response to the now modern “recycling of everything”, including the music they have contextualised and sent on.
In autumn 2020, the band filmed a Christmas video for the single
“Christmas, Dude” with singer Bara Basikova, who is
a big fan. The song became a hit on social media and TV.
