Modestep is the brainchild of London-based musician Josh Friend, now leading the project solo with his brand new live band. Known for fusing rock and dubstep, Modestep“>Modestep rose to fame with the 2011 hit Sunlight and have since played iconic stages like Glastonbury, Coachella, and Woodstock Poland attracting a record-setting crowd of 750,000.

With a new album arriving in September 2025, Friend describes the sound as “darker and melodic,” a nod to the project’s roots with deep, wobbly basslines and strong vocal melodies. Modestep continues to evolve while staying true to the energy that first defined them.
