From his Brighton bedroom to the hearts of fans around the world, Alfie Jukes returns to Prague.
It started with cover songs he sang in the shower, continued with a big tour with darlings Only the Poets and a sold-out solo show at Café V lese, now British musician Alfie Jukes is back for his biggest show yet. Most of all, he’d love to play with Declan McKenna, and when you listen to his enjoyable indie tracks from EPs Little Omens and Sitting Pretty, the pairing makes maximum sense.
Tickets (495 CZK) will be available from 30 October after registering with Fource Friends.
It’s only been two years since he released Spiderwebs, a song that captivated fans worldwide. Gone are the days of videos with a hundred views, now Alfie has a total of over a million followers on the networks. “I still compose in my room,” he told Fourced to Speak in June. “I still absolutely love playing live though.”
Jukes’ songs are dominated by his pleasant voice, but he’s great with fearless, open lyrics full of emotion. Brighton is a place that breeds a huge amount of talent, Alfie Jukes is already one of the most prominent. Inspired by names like Joesef, Phoebe Bridgers and Sam Fender, he writes music that is both personal and distinctive. This is a creative journey that is a joy to watch.
