ASIWYFA
The Northern Irish whirlwind And So I Watch You From Afar (ASIWYFA) is returning to Prague after more than five years! The event will take place on April 16, 2025, at Rock Café, and it promises to be another unforgettable experience. For us, it’s a heartfelt affair and one of the highlights of the year. ASIWYFA, a band that has been proving for over 15 years that they belong among the best on the world stage, will bring not only their iconic tracks but also material from their recently released album Megafauna, which we had the chance to hear in its entirety at this year’s edition of the British festival ArcTanGent.
ASIWYFA has a longstanding collaboration with the American label Sargent House (home to acts like Deafheaven, Russian Circles, and Chelsea Wolfe). Their latest album, Megafauna, was released under Velocity Records (Thursday, Terror, Secrets).
Don’t miss this one-of-a-kind evening with a band that ranks among the very best in the math-post-rock genre. See you in April at Rock Café!
SCALER
The four-piece Bristol-based band SCALER (formerly known as SCALPING), renowned for their high-energy performances, is coming to Prague for the first time. They’ll bring with them a unique fusion of noise rock, post-punk, and techno.
SCALER has a longstanding collaboration with the renowned label Houndstooth Records, familiar to electronic music fans for releasing artists like Throwing Snow, Abul Mogard, and Call Super. Their music is influenced by both the club scene and heavier guitar-driven genres. Their debut album Void, released in 2022, received positive acclaim. You’ll have the chance to see for yourself whether it’s deserved.
ROBOCOBRA QUARTET
Experimentation lies at the core of Robocobra Quartet, a band hailing from Belfast, just like ASIWYFA. This group of six musicians collaborates in the studio to craft their music, later forming a flexible quartet tailored for live tours.
Led by drummer and vocalist Chris Ryan, the band creates arrangements interwoven with spontaneous improvisations and spoken word. The resulting blend at times evokes comparisons to Fugazi, Black Midi, or BadBadNotGood.
